Oh my gosh, I hate painting water! I suck at painting water! DX I'm sorry if this turned out like crap, but I really tried! The dragons didn't turn out as good as I wanted them too, but I still tried -_-'
This is a digital painting that I did of my original character Selena Ayladail (now Selena Altessa, the wife of Silver Altessa) surfing on the backs of water dragons. I was inspired by the piece that did (here's the link: [link] ). I sent a note to this deviant and is fine with it, just as long as I gave credit . This could have turned out a lot better. Perhaps when I get the chance, I can edit it later.
Selena recently learned how to summon water dragons and she's been trying to loosen up and have fun. She's also know a shapeshifter like her husband, Silver Altessa. I noticed that she looks too much like Katara from Avatar o.0
UPDATE: I JUST FIXED THIS UP IN PHOTOSHOP AND I THINK IT LOOKS A LOT BETTER THAN WHAT IT ORIGNALLY WAS >w< I coloured in her hair, did the details and highlights, I blended in the shadows on her skin, added some highlights to her eyes, and I fixed up the water dragons... Phew! I hope that it looks much better now! ^^:
UPDATE 2: I saw a little part in her outfit that was a little funky and messed up that I just fixed. >.>' I also put a watermark on it too.
I really really really really really love this art. It is so so so so so so so so so so beautiful! It is all because of the blue shade. Selena's shirt is so so cute! And you really really really really really really really really really really really really know what? Girl, I love the dragons. They are so so so so so so very cute! Oh, and by the way, I love the rings on the foot. They are like the Double rings. And seriously, I love, love the waves. They're so cool. What an artist you are!
Her anatomy looks unfinished and flat. Face and armpit are very one demential.
The head and neck seem to be off a bit, taking the jaw line down just a hair might make the neck/head look more natural.
The coloring is lovely, you really hit the on the mark. I also think her pose is very fitting.
Must have been a lot of hard work. All together you did a great job, just focus on anatomy for next time and you will have another master piece like this. (I truly do adore this piece)
